Historic Annapolis

Office of the President

Robert Clark, President and CEO

After serving on the Board of Trustees for two years, Robert Clark became the President and CEO of Historic Annapolis in October of 2012. A sixth-generation Marylander, he built his career as a securities and marketing executive with E. F. Hutton, Paine Webber, and UBS Wealth Management. His combination of financial knowledge and a passion for history made him the perfect candidate to head Historic Annapolis, the leading nonprofit preservation and history organization in Annapolis. He currently serves on the Boards of The Friends of St. John’s College and the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Convention and Visitors Bureau and is a member of the City of Annapolis Heritage Commission. He has held a seat on the Board of Trustees at Poplar Forest, Thomas Jefferson’s retreat home in Lynchburg, Virginia, for twelve years, serving from 2010-2012 as the Chairman of the Board.
