The Setting

The Paca House and Garden is a restored 18th-century Georgian mansion with two brick terraces overlooking a beautiful two-acre, multi-tiered “pleasure garden.” It is a National Historic Landmark and an accredited member of the American Association of Museums.

The garden includes a Chinese Chippendale-style bridge spanning a goldfish-shaped pond . . . four formal parterres with manicured plantings and colorful blooms . . . walking paths . . . a wilderness garden . . . a summer house retreat reached via the bridge . . . the dome of the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel on the horizon. Available Amenities

The garden and terraces, including two 20’ x 40’ tents that cover the terraces, are available April through October. Large events are typically scheduled between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m., after public visiting hours. Smaller events may be held earlier in the day, until 2:00 p.m. Please contact us; we will accommodate your needs whenever possible.

The conference and meeting facility is available year-round, day and evening, by advance arrangement. It is located on the lower level of the east wing of the house. Capacity is 16 around a large conference table, 32 seated at round tables, 40 seated lecture style or 50 standing.

A caterer's kitchen is available as part of the conference facilities. We do not have an exclusive caterer; you may choose from our list of qualified caterers. Caterers have full use of the kitchen and conference room.

We provide expert assistance with catering, entertainment, and other arrangements. You will have full access to our list of preferred vendors—including caterers, photographers, florists, musicians, lodging and transportation suppliers, and others. At least one month before your event, we'll meet on site with you and your caterer to work out all the details of your special day.

We can even arrange for a fully decorated horse-drawn carriage to convey you to your wedding or other special celebration!
