William Paca Garden, 3 Martin Street This is a unique opportunity to paint the four seasons in the Paca Garden, a secluded reconstructed 18th-century garden managed by Historic Annapolis Foundation. Jean Brinton Jaecks, landscape and garden watercolorist, conducts this landscape painting workshop, meeting once in each season of the year. Her focus will be the study of light in a garden setting. Adult Workshop (16 years and older): Noon – 2:00 p.m. – A professional baker from Miss Nancy’s Fancy Bakery will be on hand to demonstrate the techniques for making the perfect gingerbread house. Comprehensive instructions and recipes will be provided.
Children’s Workshop (ages 6-15): 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. – Children will have the opportunity to express their creativity by decorating their own individual size gingerbread house.

99 Main Street Join us for this exhibit exploring the life of Anne Catharine Hoof Green, one of Annapolis’ and arguably the nation’s most accomplished and pioneering women from the Colonial era. This exhibit will illustrate how Green succeeded as a printer and publisher of the Maryland Gazette after her husband, Jonas Green, died in 1767. Not only was Green one of the first women working in a position and profession historically dominated by men, research indicates that she was also one of the first printers of Maryland money before the American Revolution-all accomplished while still upholding her household and family responsibilities to her children. Various sites in Downtown Annapolis Gingerbread House Competition Celebrate the holiday season with the 2010 Gingerbread Parade of Homes Gingerbread House Competition. The entire community – kids, youth groups, families, adults, architects, designers and professional chefs-are all invited to create one-of-a-kind gingerbread houses. Gingerbread houses will be displayed at businesses throughout the Annapolis Historic District from December 2 to January 2. Visitors can pick up a map and cast their ballots for their favorite masterpiece at 99 Main Street in downtown Annapolis.
