Annapolis by Candlelight 2013

Join us for the 22nd annual Annapolis by Candlelight tour on Friday and Saturday, November 1 and 2 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. This popular tour not only provides support for Historic Annapolisís preservation and education programs and activities, but also highlights the charm, hospitality, and handsome buildings for which Annapolis has become known. This yearís tour spotlights homes along Acton Place, Duke of Gloucester, Market, Conduit and Charles Streets. The must-see of this yearís tour is Acton Hall, one of the finest Georgian homes built in the colonial era. Click here to view the tour brochure. General Tour Information

Tickets: Advance tickets are available through October 27, 2013 at $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Beginning October 28, all tickets are $35. For group sales, call 410-990-4538. Your tickets (buttons) and programs may be picked up at the Historic Annapolis Museum located at 99 Main Street beginning Wednesday, October 30. On the evenings of the event, there will be a Will Call Table at the Historic Annapolis Museum, 99 Main Street.

Parking: Parking along the tour route is mostly reserved for residents. Parking is available at the Gotts Court Garage, with entrances on Calvert and Northwest Street, and the Hillman Garage with entrances on Duke of Gloucester and Main Street. Members Only House: One home on the tour is reserved for Historic Annapolis members only. To enter the home, you must have an Annapolis by Candlelight button that identifies you as a member. If you are not already a member, we encourage you to consider joining. In addition to benefits such as the Members Only house, members get discounts on all Historic Annapolis events. You may become a member by calling 410-267-7619 Ė be sure to indicate that you have already purchased Candlelight tickets and you are upgrading so you can view the Members Only house.

Flashlights: While supplies last, each ticket holder will be given a flashlight. Flashlights will be available beginning Wednesday, October 30 and may be picked at the Historic Annapolis Museum located at 99 Main Street. On the evenings of the event, they will also be available at the Will Call Table.

Flat-soled walking shoes are a must, as they are safer, donít damage historic wood floors, and are much more comfortable for strolling the uneven historic streets and sidewalks of Annapolis.

You are invited to take pictures of the exterior of tour houses, but please refrain from taking pictures inside. Remember to be respectful of private property. Please do not touch walls, furniture or any decorative objects. Be aware that private homes are not handicap accessible and wheelchairs cannot be accommodated.
