One year after the victory at Yorktown, William Paca was elected Governor by the General Assembly; he held office for the maximum three consecutive one-year terms. During his administration, Maryland began to recover from the multiple hardships brought by war, and Governor Paca worked to inspire a renewal of confidence in government. Senior Historian Glenn E. Campbell examines Paca's political priorities and executive actions in a lecture that is part of a larger program sponsored by the Treaty of Paris Center; visit http://www.treatyofpariscenter.org/2015-schedule for details.
