Jewelry, Hair, and Make-up in the Time of the Pacas

Date: Saturday, January 26, 2019

Location: William Paca House and Garden, 186 Prince George Street

Time: 1 pm - 3:30 pm

Kimberly Walters, from the historically-inspired Etsy store "K. Walters at the Sign of the Gray Horse,” will give insight and focus on jewelry worn in the time of the Paca family. Living Historian Eliza Leigh Vincz will then demonstrate how hair and make-up were put on a lady using her own handmade hair pomatum, powders, and cosmetics.  Using jewelry reproductions created by Kimberly Walters, Eliza will adorn herself in the style of an elite colonial woman of Annapolis.

Cost: Free for HA Docents and Docents-in-Training; $5 HA Members and Volunteers; $15 General Admission
