Virtual Lecture - Tempest in the Tea Pot: The Boston Tea PartyDate: Tuesday, May 3, 2022 Location: Zoom Virtual Lecture Time: 7 pm (EST) The Boston Tea Party was a response to the 1773 Tea Act, new legislation designed to reduce tea smuggling within the British Empire and boost the sales of tea imported to the American colonies by the East India Company, a mega corporation with an all-too-cozy relationship to the British Government. Registration required. Cost: $15 per household for General Admission; $10 per household for HA Members & Volunteers Can't watch the lecture live? We invite you to register; all registrants will receive a link to the recording of the lecture to watch at their convenience. The lecture recording will be available for two weeks. Live closed captioning is available for all lectures.
