Annapolis printer Jonas Green used his weekly Maryland Gazette newspaper to rally opposition to the Stamp Act and support the patriotic aims of the Sons of Liberty. Senior Historian Glenn E. Campbell talks about how Green and his partner, William Rind, exercised their right to freedom of the press by standing up against unjust British taxation and advancing the cause of American Liberty. Following the lecture, reenactor Diane Rey presents an interpretation of Anne Catharine Hoof Green, who succeeded her husband Jonas as publisher of the Maryland Gazette.
