Join the community in celebration of this day of freedom at the Juneteenth parade on Saturday\, June 20\, 2026! \nThe Annapolis Juneteenth Parade will step off at 12:00 pm starting at St. John’s College and winding its way through Annapolis to Amos Garrett Boulevard. After the Parade\, head over to the Bates Complex for the battle of the bands and the launch of this year’s festival. \nJuneteenth\, also called Freedom Day or Emancipation Day\, commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States in 1865\, specifically when the news of the end of Civil War was shared with those still enslaved in Texas. \nHistoric Annapolis is pleased to be a sponsor of the Annapolis Juneteenth Celebration. \nLocation: Begins at St. John’s College\, ends at Amos Garrett Boulevard\nTime: Begins at 12:00pm\nCost: FREE – no registration required \n\nCancellation and Refund Policy: Historic Annapolis reserves the right to cancel or alter any programs. These concerns have been resolved and Celebrate Annapolis Juneteenth has happily announced that the festival is back on and will proceed as originally planned.
