DESCRIPTION:Historic Annapolis warmly welcomes homeschoolers to join us for a special day of hands-on learning. \nStep back in time at Hogshead Trades Museum\, a unique dwelling on historic Pinkney Street\, and learn how working-class people lived in Annapolis during the Revolutionary era. During this interactive experience\, students will be led by guides in colonial attire and have the opportunity to interact with reproduction artifacts as they try their hand at skills of the past. Students will discover why trades were critical to the early American economy and how craft persons developed their skills. Students will also have the opportunity to create their own colonial business! \nAdvance registration required. This program is suitable for students of all ages. \nCost: $10 per Student (5-17); Free for one Adult Chaperone per student group; Additional Adults $10 per person \nTwo sessions are available: \nElementary Students\, 9:30 am to 11 am  –   SOLD OUT! \nMiddle & High School Students\, 12 pm – 1:30 pm  –   \n  \n  \nParking is recommended at Hillman Garage or Gott’s Court Garage. See Racine’s medals\, plaques\, and personal memorabilia as she shares her evolution from athlete to author\, advocate\, and women’s artistic gymnastic judge. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special Storytime at the Museum of Historic Annapolis with local author\, Natasha Nash Dixon\, as she reads her book\, Drew’s Grand Adventure. \nDrew is a coyote who lives at the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay of Maryland. Life is grand for Drew\, until one day a Storm named Debby roared into town and washed Drew away from his beloved home! Drew is then taken on the adventure of a lifetime on the Bay that is his home. Learn about the Chesapeake Bay as you follow Drew on his adventure. \nAfter story time\, enjoy a special coyote craft and explore the Museum on your own with a scavenger hunt! \nA limited number of books will be available for purchase. \nAdvance registration required\, space is limited. Admission fee includes entry to the museum. \nIn case of inclement weather\, the event will take place on Saturday\, January 31\, 2026 at 11 am. \nCost: $7 General Admission (8+); Free for Children 7 and under\, HA Members\, and Military \n \nAbout Our Author: Natasha Nash Dixon is a Maryland native\, born and raised in the Frederick area. She now resides in the Chesapeake Bay area with her husband. Alfred the Angry Chipmunk is Natasha’s first entry into the children’s book genre. She was inspired to write the story after a weekend at a friend’s cabin in Deep Creek Lake. \nHer second children’s book\, Drew’s Grand Adventure\, was created as a fundraiser for the continued preservation of the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse. Natasha is a volunteer preservationist and tour docent for the lighthouse. Portraying multiple real-life historical personalities from our country’s collective past\, Antoine helps audiences feel like they have transited a time tunnel. Join us on our beautiful historic garden terrace for a unique MotherÕs Day craft! \nGeneral Admission:  $5 Adults\, $10 Children\, HA Members and Military: Adults FREE\, $8 Children \n \nAdvance registration required\, space is limited.  \n Please Note: An adult must accompany their child(ren) for the entirety of the program; garden time is not supervised by staff. Activities are held outdoors on the tented terrace at the William Paca House & Garden when possible. In the event of inclement weather\, the activities will be held inside in our conference room. Masks are optional; hand sanitizer is always available\, and if you are feeling sick\, please stay home. This program does not include snacks due to food allergies; food is not permitted in the garden.  \nAccessibility: Visitors with limited mobility can access this program via the driveway of the Paca House.
