SUMMARY:Teachers' Night Out
DESCRIPTION:Step into history with a special evening just for educators! Join us for an open house visit to the William Paca House and Garden\, a five-part Georgian mansion built in the 1760s for William Paca\, one of Maryland’s four Signers of the Declaration of Independence. Discover the lives of its early residents\, including the Paca family and the enslaved people who lived and labored in the home. In the house\, you’ll explore powerful themes of revolution and life in colonial Annapolis. Then take a stroll through the impressive 2-acre Chesapeake Falling Garden\, including formal parterres\, a wilderness garden\, and a kitchen garden. \nEnjoy refreshments as you get to know Historic Annapolis\, its sites\, and other programs and learning opportunities. Educators can also learn about exclusive field trip offers and discounts! \nCost: Free. Please note that this event is for educators only. \n \n  \n  \n\nAccessibility: This event takes place in the William Paca Garden on our tented\, brick terrace. Entry to the Paca Garden includes wooden steps or our brick driveway ramp. The upper portion of the Paca Garden can be accessed via a brick ramp with handrails. The pathways are loose pea gravel. The lower garden levels are accessed by wooden or stone steps. An indoor\, single-use accessible restroom can be accessed via a ramp. Visiting the Paca House requires ascending several flights of stairs.  \nCancellation and Refund Policy: Historic Annapolis reserves the right to cancel or alter any programs. Unless otherwise stated\, all tickets are non-refundable.     \nPhotography Policy: Historic Annapolis reserves the right to take photographs and video footage of people of all ages at Historic Annapolis-sponsored events for publicity.
