Historic Annapolis Maryland Day Celebration

Celebrate all things Maryland and explore the wonder of the Old Line State all weekend!
On Saturday, encounter living historians at every turn as they bring the William Paca House and Garden and Hogshead to life. Explore the Waterfront Warehouse and the Museum of Historic Annapolis and immerse yourself in the history of our city.


William Paca House and Garden
186 Prince George Street

Encounter the gentry and tradespeople, portrayed by our HA living historian volunteers, at every turn as they bring the William Paca House and Garden to life. Hear the young voices of the day, sharing their trades and experiences. Enjoy special family-friendly activities and explore the 2-acre garden, a restful oasis nestled in the heart of bustling Annapolis.

This event will have timed entry slots on the hour at 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. Advance registration recommended; walk-ins will be accommodated only as space permits.

Hogshead
43 Pinkney Street

Take a short walk down Pinkney Street to Hogshead, where you’ll find colonial tradespeople working hard on their trades. You may find a carpenter, baker, midwife, printer, or sailor sharing their skills. Try your hand at hauling water, mending a shift, or mixing herbs.

Museum of Historic Annapolis

Step into our American Story at the Museum of Historic Annapolis. Enjoy an inspiring film and explore three floors of interactive exhibits where you’ll discover diverse stories and amazing objects that represent over 400 years of our shared history!

Cost: $1 per person; Free for HA Members

Waterfront Warehouse
4 Pinkney Street

Visit a rare surviving example of a small Annapolis waterfront warehouse from the 18th century. Today you’ll discover the model of our city, circa the late 18th century, featuring a birds-eye view of the historic landscape. A volunteer will be on hand to share tales of the waterfront and those who worked there.

Registration not required.
