Revolutionary Annapolis Walking Tour

Location: Tour begins at the Museum of Historic Annapolis, 99 Main Street

Tours offered at 11 am – 12:30 pm and 2 pm – 3:30 pm

Join Historian Glenn E. Campbell for a “Revolutionary Annapolis Walking Tour.”  Walk in the footsteps of patriot leader William Paca as you follow his dramatic personal and political story through the revolutionary era. Learn how a promising young lawyer became a rebel, a revolutionary, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and the Governor of Maryland through the course of less than 20 years. This 90-minute, 1.5-mile walking tour begins at the Museum of Historic Annapolis and ends at the Maryland State House, with stops at fifteen other sites along the way.

The walking tour will be held rain or shine. 

Advance registration required, limited space available.

Cost:  $20 General Admission; $15 for HA Members, Military, and HA Docents

About Our Presenter: Glenn E. Campbell grew up in New Jersey and earned degrees in History from the U.S. Naval Academy (B.S., 1986) and University of Maryland, College Park (M.A., 1994).  During his active-duty naval service, he tracked Soviet submarines in the North Atlantic, directed Naval Academy admissions programs for the Midwest region, and taught Western Civilization courses to Navy midshipmen.  Mr. Campbell first joined the staff of Historic Annapolis in 1997 and was named Senior Historian of the non-profit historic preservation and education organization in 2008. He has presented numerous lectures on local history topics and received the 2020 Heritage Leadership Award from the Four Rivers Heritage Area.
