SUMMARY:Tailoring the Revolution
DESCRIPTION:It’s the Summer of 1776.  Independence has just been declared\, and the Revolutionary War is in full swing.  \n \nAs the Continental Army tries to fill its ranks\, people question: “How do we uniform all of these men?”  \nJoin living historian Sean Lowman as he practices the trade of the tailor and discusses the importance of clothing in both civilian and military life during the Revolution.  \nLearn and practice a variety of sewing techniques like buttonholes\, cloth-wrapped buttons\, stitches\, and more. \nThis is a drop-in style program. Visitors may join at any time during program hours and explore at their own pace through informal interaction and demonstrations. Advance registration recommended but not required. \nCost: Free ($5 suggested donation) \n \n  \n  \n\nAccessibility: Accessing this program requires ascending a flight of stairs. There are no restrooms on site. \nCancellation and Refund Policy: Historic Annapolis reserves the right to cancel or alter any programs.
