Paca Garden Tours

The William Paca Garden will open to the public on Thursday, April 15, 2021. 

At this time, the William Paca House remains closed for tours.

Garden Hours:

Thursday through Sunday: 10 am – 2:30 pm (last entry at 2 pm)
Guided tours are offered daily at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 1:30 pm. 

The Paca Garden is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. 
Please note: hours may be subject to change due to weather and special events. 

Special Event Closures:

Guided Tours will be offered only at 10:30 am and 11:30 am on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

The William Paca Garden will be closed to the public on Friday, May 14, 2021.

Admission Options and Fees:

Select from a docent-led guided tour our a self-guided garden stroll of this two-acre oasis in the middle of our bustling city! 

Availability of tours are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. If we cancel your tour or visit, your fee will be returned.

Guided Tour:
An experienced docent will lead you through this two-acre 18th century English garden. Discover the unique native plantings and interesting garden design of the only restored colonial garden in Annapolis. Learn the history of William Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and the stories of the people who lived and labored in his home and garden while enjoying the idyllic parterres, physic and kitchen gardens, and wilderness garden. Your guide’s insights will add to the pleasure of exploring this oasis of natural beauty here in the heart of downtown Annapolis. Enjoy a virtual video tour of the William Paca House and Garden on the tented terrace before or after your tour (video available pending weather and availability).

General Admission* - $12
Children (3-17) - $5
Children under 3 - Free
Historic Annapolis Members - Free

Advance registration admission is recommended.
*Discounts available at the door for seniors (60+), AAA, First Responders, Teachers, Active Military, and museum professionals with ID.

Self-Guided Tour:
Take a self-guided stroll of this restored two-acre 18th century English garden. A map and route will be provided for you to explore the idyllic parterres, physic and kitchen gardens, and wilderness garden. Enjoy a virtual video tour of the William Paca House and Garden on the tented terrace before or after your tour (video available pending weather and availability).

Historic Annapolis Members - Free
Children under 3 - Free


Historic Annapolis's primary concern is the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers. We have increased cleaning and disinfecting frequencies and monitor the health of staff and volunteers daily. In order to ensure a safe visit for you, our guests, the following policies are in effect for all who visit the William Paca Garden:

  • Facial coverings are required.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for your use.
  • Access to the Paca Garden will be limited in numbers based on the guidelines provided by the City of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
  • Please observe social distancing guidelines and stay 6 feet apart from other visitors.
  • By entering the William Paca Garden, you are affirming that:
    • You have not been in contact with anyone who is either confirmed or suspected of being infected with COVID-19 in the last 10 days,
    • You have not traveled to a restricted area under a level 2, 3 or 4 Travel Advisory according to the U.S. State Department within the last month, and
    • You are not currently sick, nor have you experienced symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 10 days.
