Veterans Appreciation Weekend

This Veterans Day weekend, we are honored to thank those who have served our country for their sacrifice and bravery. Historic Annapolis is pleased to invite veterans to visit the Museum of Historic Annapolis and the William Paca House and Garden this weekend free of charge (with ID). Plus, stop by Hogshead on Saturday for a special living history program with His Majesty's Marines!
Museum of Historic Annapolis
10 am - 2 pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Visit the Museum of Historic Annapolis and explore three floors of exhibitions and stories in our historic building at 99 Main Street. Annapolis: An American Story is the perfect place to discover Annapolis, A Museum Without Walls™. Immerse yourself in the stories of the people of Annapolis – revolutionaries, visionaries, and champions in our nation’s continuing quest for liberty and justice – who helped to shape our American story across more than 400 years.
On Sunday, November 13, join us for a special Hands-On History Day where we offer a Salute to Veterans, with family activities and 1/2 price admission! Click here for more information.

William Paca House and Garden
186 Prince George Street
10 am - 4 pm (Friday and Saturday only)
An experienced docent will lead you through the home and garden of William Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. As you walk through this National Historic Landmark, your guide will share the stories of all the people who lived and labored in the home and garden.
Or, take a self-guided stroll through the restored two-acre 18th century English garden. A map and route will be provided for you to explore the idyllic parterres, physic and kitchen gardens, and wilderness garden. Plus, visit HA's newest exhibit, We Hold These Truths: Maryland's Signers and the Declaration of Independence.
Advance registration recommended. Guided tours offered at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, and 2:30 pm.

Join us for a special program, His Majesty's Marines at Hogshead: Shore Leave 1772.
The British are here! His Majesty's Marines have been given shore leave and are taking a break from their revenue-enforcing duties. Come visit and talk with the Marines in their land quarters at the Hogshead in Annapolis.
It looks like trouble may be brewing in some of the colonies. A special talk, “Conversations with the General,” will be presented at 11:30 am and 2 pm. The Brigadier General will be discussing the situation in the colonies in 1772.
