Annapolis-made footwear brand to donate $2.50 per pair sold to Historic Annapolis through July 4, 2026

June 4, 2026, ANNAPOLIS, MD — Made Plus, the coastal lifestyle and performance footwear brand designed and manufactured in Annapolis, launched “250 Years of Craftsmanship and Community”, a giving campaign in partnership with Historic Annapolis to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

From May 18 through July 4, 2026, Made Plus will donate $2.50 from every pair of shoes sold at its Annapolis retail store (186 Main Street) to Historic Annapolis. The $2.50 figure is an intentional tribute to the nation’s semiquincentennial, linking the purchase of a locally made shoe to the broader story of American craft, commerce, and civic pride.

“Annapolis is part of our identity as a brand, and Historic Annapolis plays an essential role in protecting the character and history of this city,” said Alan Guyan, Founder & CEO, Made Plus. “We’re honored to support their mission while celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.”

Made Plus designs and manufactures its footwear in Annapolis, a distinction rare among American shoe brands. The 250 Years of Craftsmanship and Community extends that commitment beyond product, positioning Made Plus as an active civic partner in one of America’s most historically significant cities.

Historic Annapolis is the leading preservation and history organization dedicated to protecting and sharing the stories of 400 years of Annapolis’s past. The organization stewards historic landmarks including the William Paca House and Garden and the Museum of Historic Annapolis and has long described Annapolis as “A Museum Without Walls.”

“Historic Annapolis is honored by this donation to support our mission to preserve, protect, and connect Annapolis’s treasured history for present and future generations,” said Corey Ruth, Vice President of Communications at Historic Annapolis. “Our city is at the heart of what we do and Made Plus shares that guiding spirit. We’re excited to collaborate with their team on this campaign.”
