Museum of Historic Annapolis

Begin your Annapolis adventure at the Museum of Historic Annapolis, where you’ll explore Annapolis: An American Story. This chronological overview of the history of Annapolis includes an inspiring film, colorful exhibits, and an amazing collection of objects. You’ll step into the dramatic stories of Annapolis and its diverse people – revolutionaries, visionaries, and champions in our nation’s continuing quest for liberty and justice – who helped to shape our American story across more than 400 years.

William Paca House and Garden

Step inside one of Annapolis’s most historic homes, the William Paca House and Garden. The restored home of William Paca, signer of the Declaration of Independence and Revolutionary-era Governor of Maryland stands today as one of the most elegant National Historic Landmarks in Annapolis. Stroll through an 18th century colonial garden –  sure to engage all the senses!

Exclusive garden tours are led by our knowledgeable Garden Guides, who will share much information and answer any questions you may have about the history of the garden and the exceptional plant collections within.

Hogshead

Hogshead at 43 Pinkney Street is an early 19th-century building similar to the modest wood frame structures that housed many colonial Annapolitans and new recruits to revolutionary service. Today, it serves as an interactive, hands-on museum and historic landmark, offering visitors the opportunity to experience what life was like during the 1700s in Annapolis.

Hogshead visitors will see, hear, and touch what life entailed for frontiersmen, soldiers in the Revolutionary War, and enslaved and indentured workers. Here, you can pick up the heavy weight of a musket and feel what it would have been like to go hunting centuries ago.

James Brice House

Due to current restoration, tours of the James Brice House are not available at this time.
