Visit the William Paca House and Garden

Winter Hours (January 1 – March 19):

CLOSED

The William Paca House & Garden will reopen with our summer hours on Wednesday, March 20. 

Summer Hours (March 20 – August 31):

Monday – Thursday: 10 am – 5 pm
Friday: 9 am – 3 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10 am – 3 pm

Hours may be subject to change due to weather, group tours, and special events. 

 


Admission Options:

Guided House Tour:

An experienced docent will lead you through the home of William Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. As you walk through this National Historic Landmark, your guide will share the stories of all the people who lived and labored in the home and garden. This admission option also includes garden entry.

Guided House Tour Admission Fees:
General Admission* – $12
Child (3-17) – $7
Historic Annapolis Members – Free
Children under 3 – Free
Museums for All** – Free

   

Tour capacity is limited; advance registration is recommended. Tours are subject to docent availability. Tickets are non-refundable.

*Discount available at the door for seniors (60+), AAA, First Responders, Teachers, Active Military, Students, and Museum Professionals with ID. Discount applicable to General Admission price only.

**Provide proof of assistance with SNAP EBT or WIC and your Photo ID to receive free admission for up to 4 people.

 

Self-Guided Garden Stroll:

Take a self-guided stroll of this restored two-acre 18th century English garden. A map and route will be provided for you to explore the idyllic parterres, physic and kitchen gardens, and wilderness garden.  

Self-Guided Garden Tour Admission Fees:
General Admission (3 and up) – $5
Historic Annapolis Members – Free
Children under 3 – Free
Museums for All – Free

Advance registration is recommended, but not required; walk-ins welcome. Tickets are non-refundable.

The William Paca House and Garden is conveniently located near City Dock in the downtown Colonial Annapolis Historic District. It is just steps away from a variety of restaurants and shops, and other interesting sites and museums.

Public parking is not available at the William Paca House and Garden. Annapolis offers an abundance of parking and transportation options. Visit accessannapolis.com for the most up-to-date information on parking in downtown Annapolis. 

Street parking surrounding the William Paca House and Garden is residential and limited to two-hour paid parking for guests (starts at $2/hour). Please note that street parking requires the use of the Parkmobile app.

COVID-19 Information

Historic Annapolis’s primary concern is the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers. We have increased cleaning and disinfecting frequencies and monitor the health of staff and volunteers daily. In order to ensure a safe visit for you, our guests, the following policies are in effect for all who visit the William Paca House and Garden:

  • Masks are currently optional for all visitors.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for your use.
  • By entering the William Paca House and Garden, you are affirming that:
    • You have not been in contact with anyone who is either confirmed or suspected of being infected with COVID-19 in the last 10 days, and
    • You are not currently sick, nor have you experienced symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 10 days.

Community Access Programs

Historic Annapolis is a proud partner in the Museums for All program, which provides free admission to those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits). Provide proof of assistance with SNAP EBT or WIC and your Photo ID to receive free admission for up to four (4) people at this site.

 

The William Paca House and Garden is a Blue Star Museum, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve. The 2023 Blue Star Museums program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, 2023 and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2023. 

 

Historic Annapolis is also proud to partner with the Anne Arundel County Public Library. Through their Library of Things program, library card holders can check out a group pass that provides admission for four (4) to the Museum of Historic Annapolis and the William Paca House and Garden. Please click here for more information.
