Join Historic Annapolis for a delightful day trip from Annapolis to Philadelphia and explore the rich history of Fairmount Park! This special excursion includes guided tours of three magnificent historic homes:

Woodford Mansion (1756-1758): An example of the early “summer retreats” that were built along the Schuylkill River during the 1700s and 1800s by affluent Americans.
Strawberry Mansion (1789): The largest of the Fairmount Park Historic Houses filled with antiques, fine art, and collectible treasures from the 1700’s and 1800’s.
Mount Pleasant (1762): One the grandest homes ever built along the Schuylkill River, once called “the most elegant seat in Pennsylvania”, this exclusive access tour is led by Alexandra Kirtley, the Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Your admission fee includes:
- Motorcoach transportation from Annapolis to Philadelphia
- Guided tours of all three historic homes
- Gourmet boxed lunch

Advance registration required; space is limited. Recommended for ages 16+. All participants must sign a liability waiver to attend the trip.
Cost: $145 per person for General Admission; $130 per person for HA Members, HA Volunteers, and Military
Itinerary:
- 8:00 am: Motorcoach departs from Maryland Hall (801 Chase Street in Annapolis – look for the HA check-in table!)
- 11:00 am: Arrive at Woodford Mansion for a 45-minute guided tour
- 12:00 pm: Arrive at Strawberry Mansion for gourmet boxed lunch, followed by a 45-minute tour
- 2:00 pm: Arrive at Mount Pleasant for a 45-minute tour
- 3:00 pm: Depart for Annapolis
Lunch:
A Boxed Lunch from Joshua’s Catering will be provided. Lunches include choice of one sandwich with condiments on the side, dessert, and choice of soft drinks or bottled water
Sandwich Choices: (if no choice is made, the default is the curried chicken salad)
- Curried chicken salad wrap with raisins, red onion, parsley and curry mayo
- French ham and cheddar cheese sandwich with baby greens on ciabatta bread
- Grilled herb vegetable wrap made with zucchini, yellow squash, red pepper, carrots, mixed greens and balsamic vinaigrette
Other Information:
Free parking for tour attendees is provided at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, from where the bus will depart. Please park in Lot A, on the left as you come off Spa Rd.
All attendees will be required to complete the following liability waiver form by Wednesday October 22, 2025: Waiver & Lunch Form
Accessibility: The Chesapeake Charters Motorcoach includes a restroom, charging ports and Wi-Fi onboard. The bus can kneel for a low entry step, but there is no wheelchair lift or wheelchair securement.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: Historic Annapolis reserves the right to cancel or alter any programs. Unless otherwise stated, all tickets are non-refundable.
If the minimum number of tickets sold is not met by October 22, 2025, the trip will be cancelled, and a full refund will be issued.
Photography Policy: Historic Annapolis reserves the right to take photographs and video footage of people of all ages at Historic Annapolis-sponsored events for publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please opt out by notifying Historic Annapolis staff.
