Join Mrs. Paca and her colonial friends and family for Tea on the Terrace.

ÒTaking teaÓ was an important part of life in the colonies. Learn about the social aspect of tea and the accouterments that were required for a lady of the gentry, as well as the lower classes._Bring your own treasured teacup and_enjoy an authentic colonial tea with sweets and savories while catching up on_the latest news and gossip of the era. Plus, all guests will receive a special gift from our friends at The Spice & Tea Exchange of Annapolis!

Kimberly Walters, author and living historian, will present this special presentation on our tented terrace overlooking the William Paca Garden. Recommended for ages 13+.

Advance registration required; space is limited.

Cost: $45 for General Admission, $40 for HA Members, HA Volunteers, Military, and Children (17 and under)

About Our Presenter:
Kimberly Walters is an author, living historian and reenactor. She is the author of A Book of Cookery by a Lady as well as Tea in 18th Century America. She is the owner of K. Walters at the Sign of the Gray Horse which sells historically-inspired jewelry (SignoftheGrayHorse on Etsy).

At reenactments, Kim portrays various characters at historical homes and other venues. She uses authentic receipts (recipes) when cooking over an open hearth as well as in camp with reenacting units. She is an authority on hearth cooking and is a master hearth cook.
