Visitor Services Associate

Historic Annapolis seeks energetic and customer-service oriented candidates to support all aspects of visitor services at Historic Annapolis historic sites open to the public for interpretation, including the William Paca House and Garden, the Museum of Historic Annapolis, Waterfront Warehouse, and Hogshead Trades Museum. The Visitor Services Associate is responsible for manning reception desks; processing admissions; collecting visitor statistics; maintaining site security; facilitating and giving tours, both inside and outside; and assisting with field trips, group tours, public programs, and other special events.

Internship Opportunities

Historic Annapolis offers a limited number of internships for undergraduate and graduate students. As part of a collaborative team, interns gain valuable professional and educational experience in departments across Historic Annapolis. Working closely with museum and preservation professionals, interns gain practical knowledge and skills. Students have a unique opportunity to participate in their department’s ongoing work and complete specific projects while supporting the organization’s mission.

Curatorial InternsHip

Time Period: Summer 2026
Working Hours: 35 hours/week for 8 weeks
Stipend: $2,700 (paid in two installments)
Reports To: Curator

Historic Annapolis is pleased to share a paid summer internship for an undergraduate student in art history, history, museum studies, curatorial practices, or related fields for the summer of 2026. This internship will include supporting the development of an exhibit commemorating Historic Annapolis’s 75th anniversary and collections care and maintenance.
