In 1776, the First Maryland Regiment soldiers made their way from Annapolis to New York for what became a rousing defeat for patriot troops. Some women likely accompanied these soldiers to support the regiment….but what about the women who stayed at home in Annapolis?
Members of the First Maryland Regiment will tell of the lives of the women waiting for word from their loved ones from the battlefield.

About Our Presenters: Today’s First Maryland Regiment has commemorated the bravery of Maryland’s colonial troops since the 1970’s. Today, the unit is composed of 30+ members, including women and children.
