We are seeking engaged, passionate, and community-minded leaders to serve on the Historic Annapolis (HA) Board of Trustees!

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of one of Annapolis’s most respected nonprofit organizations. Join a group of strong community leaders and dynamic professionals who generously volunteer their time for the betterment of our community, helping HA advance our mission and ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability and impact.

With the celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary this year and HA’s 75th anniversary approaching next year, there’s no better time to get involved. We are most interested in leaders who can provide expertise and strategic guidance in the areas of Education, Preservation Advocacy, Historic Property Management, and Fundraising.

The HA Board of Trustees is a dynamic, active, and working volunteer board. Individuals serve a three-year term, with the opportunity for up to two additional terms. Expectations include attending quarterly board meetings, serving on at least one committee, and committing to uphold our mission and values.

We have a few openings for a term beginning in 2027. Candidates will be selected through a competitive process and voted on at the fall Board meeting.

HA welcomes and encourages applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives who share a passion for preserving and celebrating our community’s unique history. Our goal is a Board that reflects the community it serves.
