PARADE
The Annapolis Juneteenth Parade will kick off at noon at Annapolis City Dock. Celebrate this day of independence and past, present, and future of African Americans with our entire community.

FESTIVAL
Visit Historic Annapolis at the Juneteenth Festival following the parade! Enjoy family activities, giveaways, and more at our festival table. The Annapolis Juneteenth Festival will be an event to remember with live music and entertainment, food, and vendors. Join us for this incredible celebration!

About Juneteenth: Juneteenth, also called Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States in 1865, specifically when the news of the end of Civil War was shared with those still enslaved in Texas. Today, the day is celebrated with music, food and festivities that focus on self-improvement, education, and honoring the history of ancestors.
